The Walenpfad Trail is one of the loveliest high-Alpine hikes in Switzerland. It leads from Brunni to the Bannalp area and can be completed in either direction. When you get to the Walenalp, your efforts are rewarded with a large barbecue pit and views way across the Swiss Plateau. Other highlights

of the hike are the Walegg with wonderful views over the Bannalpsee lake, a visit to the Oberdorf goat pasture and dairy, the barefoot trail around Härzlisee lake by the Brunni mountain hut, and the consis- tently splendid panoramic views.
