Entscheide selbst, ob du die ers- ten rund 800 Höhenmeter zu Fuss oder mit dem Buiräbähnli zurücklegen möchtest. Hinauf zum idyllischen Lutersee geht's dann nur noch aus eigener Muskelkraft. Am Seeli angelangt machst du ein Picknick oder steigst ein Stück in Richtung Zin- gel Alp ab, wo ein wunder- schöner Rastplatz mit toller Aussicht auf dich warten. Der weitere Abstieg führt über einen schmalen Waldpfad, der nochmals etwas Konzentration erfordert, hinab in die Arni bachschlucht. Ein Bauernhof glacé vom Hoflädeli Aeschboden versüsst das letzte Stück des Heimwegs.

You can choose whether to take the first 800 metres of ascent by foot or in one of the rustic Buiräbähnli cable cars. But the route up to the idyllic Lutersee lake can only be reached by the power of your own legs. When you arrive, you can enjoy a pic nic by the little lake or descend a little way in the direction of the Zingel, a wonderful spot to rest and take in the view. The rest of the descent is along a picturesque woodland path, which is narrow and requires concentration, and down through the Arnibach gorge.

Der Benediktusweg führt vom Kloster Engelberg zum Kloster Maria-Rickenbach. Die Route ist sehr abwechs lungsreich und bietet ein tolles Panorama in die Seitentäler, Gipfel und Gletscherregionen der Unterwaldner Alpen. Je näher du dem Wallfahrtsort und Klosterdorf «Maria-Rick enbach» kommst, prägen wilde Bergweiden, zerklüftete Felsen und eine grossartige Rundsicht das Landschaftsbild.

The Benedictine way leads from the cloister in Engelberg to the one at Maria-Rickenbach. This hike leads across the eastern side of the Aa valley, along the Walenpfad (P. 40). It provides impressive views of the side val- leys, peaks and glacier regions of the Unterwalden Alps. The closer you get to the Maria Ri- ckenbach monastery (a place of pilgrimage), the more the land- scape is characterised by moun tainside pastures, craggy rocks, and amazing views.
