Engelberg has a total of six very different via ferrata routes. The difficulty levels vary, so that anyone from beginner to ambi- tioned climber can find the right kind of challenge for them. We particularly recommend the three routes on Brunni for families with children. Brunnistöckli: The ideal via ferrata for beginners, and thus perfect for families. One high- light is the route over to the summit cross on the sky ladder.

Zittergrat: This neighbouring route to the Brunnistöckli is not very long, but it is quite chal- lenging. That makes it the per- fect preparation for more diffi- cult, longer via ferratas. Rigi- dalstock: Two longer routes, one of which is suitable for families, lead up to the summit of the Graustock. The ascent and de- scent are both on secured via ferratas. Fürenwand: The king of En- gelberg’s via ferratas requires strength and stamina. Graustock: Three challenging sections lead along the steep ridge up to the Graustock sum- mit. The view is incredible all along the way and once you get to the summit, you can really drink it in.
