High above Engelberg, at the start of the Surenen valley, lies the Fürenalp, a place of great tranquillity and power. To allow everyone to experience that power, Dr Andrea Fischbacher initiated hiking trails to places that exude natural energy. She leads a research organisation called Forschungsstelle Kraft- und Kulturorte Schweiz (Research centre for places of power and culture in Switzerland). In this interview, she explains what a “place of power” is and what makes the Fürenalp so special. AROUND US
